The main problem in learning Arabic tends to be because students do not master Arabic vocabulary, one of which is because the methods used by teachers tend to be monotonous. Through the application of the total physical response method in teaching Arabic vocabulary, with the demonstration students can directly know the meaning of vocabulary without going through the tarjamah method. Learning Arabic is not optimal because the learning process is still oriented towards the teacher's activeness as a teacher and the interest and participation of students in grade V of State Elementary School 2 Padangsidimpian towards learning Arabic is also still lacking. This study aims to determine how the application of the total physical response method in vocabulary learning in grade 5 of state elementary school 2 padangsidimpuan refers to success indicators, namely through the process of achieving predetermined goals, the compatibility between the methods used with the material given to students, and the presence of student activity directly towards learning. After the research, and this research indicates that the percentage of successful students in cycle 1 of meeting 1 is 42.30%, cycle 1 meeting 2 is 46.15% and the percentage of successful students in cycle 2 is 76.92% and achieved predetermined success indicators.Downloads
