Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to El-Mahara: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Arab are subjected to a thorough screening and review process to ensure that they fit within the scope of the journal and are of sufficient academic quality and novelty to appeal to the journal's readership. The journal uses double-blind peer review, which conceals the identities of both the author(s) and the reviewers.
Initial Screening
A newly submitted manuscript will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief to ensure that it meets the scope and basic submission requirements of the journal.
Peer Review
If the manuscript passes the preliminary screening, it will be assigned to a handling editor and sent to at least two experts for double-blind peer review. Manuscripts that do not pass screening will be rejected without further consideration.
First Decision
A decision is made after at least two review reports are received. Manuscripts may be rejected, revised (minor/major), accepted, or resubmitted for further review. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer recommendations and editorial board approval.
Revision Stage
Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within three weeks. The handling editor evaluates whether revisions adequately address reviewer comments. Additional revision cycles may be required if necessary.
Final Decision
The final decision is based on whether the manuscript meets publication standards. Manuscripts that fail to meet required revisions will be rejected.
Estimated Time
The estimated duration from submission to final acceptance is approximately 8 weeks.

By submitting the manuscript, authors agree to the journal’s copyright and licensing policy.
License
All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits sharing and adaptation for any purpose with proper attribution, a link to the license, and indication of changes.
Author Warranties
Authors confirm that the manuscript is original, not published elsewhere, contains no unlawful statements, and does not infringe on third-party rights. All co-authors agree to submission and licensing terms.
User/Public Rights
The journal permits users to copy, distribute, display, remix, and build upon published work with proper attribution. Users must not imply endorsement by the journal or authors.
Rights of Authors
Authors retain copyright and related rights, including reuse in future works, reproduction for personal use, and self-archiving with a journal link.
Co-Authorship
The submitting author confirms all co-authors agree to the policy. The journal communicates only with the corresponding author.
Miscellaneous
The journal reserves the right to edit manuscripts for formatting and style consistency. Published articles are freely accessible. Preprints may be shared, but CC BY applies upon publication.
Article Processing Fee
Article Submission Fee: 0.00 (IDR). No fee is charged for submission or review.
Article Publication Fee: 0.00 (IDR). No publication fee is charged upon acceptance.
Archive Policy
The journal uses the LOCKSS system to ensure distributed archiving and long-term preservation of published content through participating libraries.
In addition, published content is deposited in the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and indexed in systems such as OneSearch, GARUDA, and other relevant databases to ensure long-term accessibility and preservation.
